About James

James Myers is a former UK Whitehall Civil Servant who later became a Counsellor and subsequently a professional Supervisor. He started painting in his sixties while living in Edmonton, Canada where his wife Katherine had taken a university and health services position. James is self-taught and paints in an Expressionist manner, normally working in acrylic and tackling themes that impact on him. Some of his paintings reflect his involvement in the mental health field.
